Follow the steps listed below to ensure you are properly cleaning all areas in an efficient way.

Upon entering a Vacant Dirty room use your door stopper to prop open the door. Next verify that no one is still in the room and no personal items are left behind. Next do a quick visual scan for any noticeable damage.

After that go back to your cart and mark down on your sheet next to the room number the time you started cleaning

After that,retrieve your chemical caddy, vacuum, and mop, and bring them into the room. Your chemical caddy should have the following chemicals Waxie- Green NonAcid Bathroom cleaner #300, Sparkle glass cleaner, Airlift air freshener, H2Orange2 Heavy Cleaner, Waxi 730 HP Disinfectant Cleaner, DBBC Disinfectant Bathroom & Bowl Cleaner.Next

Put on gloves to pick up all the trash and place it a trash bag and then into the bag on your cart. Then remove all the dirty linen and place it in the solid linen cart located nearby in the hallway.

Section 3 Prepping BedRoom

Move into the bedroom area and begin dusting and disinfecting all areas with the Waxi 730 Disinfectant Cleaner. This has a 1 min kill time and by the time you finish spraying all the surfaces you will be ready to start wiping the areas down.

This includes all drawers, countertops, surfaces, seating areas, refrigerator, and electronics. Ensure you are paying attention to high touch point areas. Please note that you will need to dust one more time after you finish the room to ensure room quality for the guest arrival.

Begin to make the bed(s). Place all linen/pillowcases in the room on a clean surface to prevent frequent travel to cart.

Each bed requires a mattress protector and pillow encasements (if you do not have these items, contact your houseperson or supervisor to have them delivered), a fitted bed pad, a blanket, 3 clean sheets, and 3-4 

pillowcases.

Before placing the first sheet, pull the mattress a tad bit off the wall and inspect the fitted bed pad 

for stains/tears (blanket as well). If reject linen is used to make the bed, it will result in a failed inspection.

Each room requires the following items: Ice bucket with liner and 2 cups , Coffee maker 2 coffee cups, 4 coffee pods, 2 condiments, 1 condiment caddy, 1 coffee tray, 1 trash can with liner, Tv remote, tip card envelope, Landrys Select Life Magazine, and trifold table tent.

Begin to place your room amenities. The placement of the items may vary depending on the room type. Please consult your Housekeeping Connect guide if you are unsure of the location of items.

Clean the bathroom using a sponge and cleaning rags

Ensure to wash sink, all fixtures including light switches, the tub, walls (report any mold found to your supervisor) shower curtain or doors depending on the room, and finally the toilet.

Then go over your bathroom mirror for streaks with the Sparkle Glass cleaner and then begin placing your amenities and towels.

Spray some #300 Waxi Green disinfectant on the floor and then mop over and continue to the vestibule area also.

Begin setting up the closet area. If the room has a wardrobe ensure that it has the iron, ironing board, bedding for the sleeper sofa (if applicable), and 6 hangers.

If it has the standard entry closet area make sure you place your 6 hangers and privacy card. Ensure that the iron and ironing board are located in their cubby as well.

The closet area should be free of trash, dust and debris. Verify that your room has a luggage rack. If it does not have one then please submit a missing item request form.  

Section 8 Vacuuming

Vacuum all edges of the room and all floor surfaces. Ensure that you focus around the bed. Get between furniture when able and vacuum under the chair or couch cushions.

turn off the AC and remove the front vents. After doing so please use the wand on your vacuum and remove all the dust from the vents. Once finished put the vents back into the AC unit.

You must also vacuum the outsider of the entry door also, only a few steps in each direction once you go outside the room.

Entry and exit door handles must be disinfected as well.  

Section 9 final inspection

Walk the room, ensuring that all items/surfaces are clean and disinfected. Anything broken or missing must be reported in Formstacks.

Set the temperature in the room to 72 degrees.

Once you have completed the room, securely close the door and then mark down on your assignment sheet your completion time and move on to your next assigned room.
